    TWO BIG NIGHTS!!
GARLAND JEFFREYS AND HIS 8 PIECE ROCK & ROLL BAND
    ROCK THE VILLAGE UNDERGROUND,
    FEB 28TH & MARCH 1ST

The legendary Garland Jeffreys doesn't fit into neat little boxes: his thoughtful, passionate songs mix new wave, soul, reggae, garage rock, doo-wop and Latin influences to create a deeply personal hybrid that reflects his own multiethnic roots. A New York native and veteran of the fertile mid-70’s and early 80’s scene that included peers like Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Graham Parker & the Rumour, Southside Johnny, Mink DeVille, and Phoebe Snow, Jeffreys’ passionate songs range from streetwise urban-romantic love songs to penetrating social critiques tackling issues of race in America (on his album "Don't Call Me Buckwheat"), which has been called “one of the most important, hard hitting records since Marvin Gaye's masterpiece 'What's Going On.'"

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG BANDS WITH CDs!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

I am looking for bands, with cd's to be a part of The Radio Rockland "live at Tower Records" events. The band will be on the radio discussing and playing their music and plans, gigs, etc. on The Rockland Community Arts Hour day of event. The band will then go across the street to perform at Tower Records, which has also promoted the event in store. The band can sell CD's, t-shirts, etc, and the cd will be added to 'the rack' with the other cd's for sale. A great opportunity for young bands with a CD.

Please get in touch with me ASAP.

    All the Best,
