Future Friday: Max Vernon
Roughly two years ago, Max Vernon struck a chord with his hilarious interpretation of Katy Perry’s smash hit, ‘I Kissed A Girl’. The YouTube clip garnered tens of thousands of views in an insanely short time span and was even declared the ‘Cover Song Of The Year’ by a host of web sites, online & print publications. While that track surely put Max on the underground radar, there’s much more to Max’s music and vision other than an ironic twist on the overplayed pop tune. His own music is a cross-breed of folk, ragtime, singer-songwriter as well as a host of other genres yet to be defined. Additionally, Max has total control of his kooky and fashion forward wardrobe.
